| This is an aircheck tape of The Sugartime Show, a thing I did on 100-watt WDCE from around 1983 to around 1991. I have a dozen or so of these tapes, and I may post bits and pieces of them as bonus shows from time to time. This is part one of a 90-minute tape labelled SUGARTIME 11/1/88, and that's all I really know about it. My co-host is Levi, a guy I met while working at a sandwich Shop in Richmond called Stuffy's. Levi came in every day after he got off work and had a beer, and next thing he knew he was on college radio with me. |

| Seated behind a drumset for the entire show, I play phat beats as I introduce each song. Perhaps the most hair-brained scheme of a podcast yet! I went back and added bass and keys to the phat beats for an overwhelmingly mediocre experience! I even mixed the whole thing myself in glorious "dull-o-rama" sound making the drums and bass more thuddy than humanly possible. I spin a Beatles cover, play "who is it," and even tackle the Philosophy of the World. |
