On Mondays we are serializing the 1890 book 'Samantha Among the Bretheren' by Josiah Allen's Wife (Marietta Holley). Samantha tries to squeeze a few dollars for the Church Fair from Josiah and compares notes with the other women afterward, in Chapter 26, 'Donating.'
